We walk alongside those experiencing hardships as a result of crime or addiction.
With our partners, we work to give access to needed social services and support, via technology and recovery homes.
CALIFORNIA HAS ONE OF THE LARGEST POPULATIONS OF SEX TRAFFICKED VICTIMS IN THE US.
Serving California is dedicated to the pursuit of restorative justice for those who are experiencing any of the following victimizations: drug addiction, alcohol addiction, prostitution, intimate partner violence, sexual abuse/trauma, and human trafficking. We offer a safe place to stay during court proceedings in which they may be involved.
We are committed to providing women the resources they need to achieve sobriety, including access to complimentary legal assistance and advocates, transportation to/from court if needed, vocational training and continuing education (if applicable).
Serving California currently houses over 150 women in eleven recovery homes across California. Women in our homes are fleeing previous lives of addiction, domestic violence, childhood abuse, and frequently are escaping a gang lifestyle. Most of the women we serve reside in a home for one full year.
We maintain close connections between program graduates and their residential communities, meaning that, upon her transition out of recovery, each woman has a network of peers and community leaders who can monitor her progress and maintain accountability. It’s this close network of support that empowers the success of our programs and keeps us connected to those whom we serve.
“Where then is my hope? Who can see any hope for me?" – Job 17:15
Serving California has space for 180 women with our partner organizations to help safe house and aid them in recovery.
Your time and dollars are valuable, and we know you want to truly make a difference. We support these great organizations working on behalf of California's victims, and we think they're worth your efforts.
